This sacred building is located in the heart of the historic center of Muravera. The church, built in Catalan Gothic style between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries during the period of Spanish rule, underwent major restoration in the late sixteenth century. The facade of the church is beige in color and has a gabled roof. The modest front door is made of wood, and above it is a rectangular window with multicolored glass. To the right stands the majestic bell tower with battlements on the square barrel, crowned by four single-arched lancet windows housing the bells.<\/p>\n<p>Inside, the Church of St. Nicholas of Bari has a rectangular floor plan with a single nave. The nave is decorated with pointed arches, and on either side are chapels with vaulted ceilings. In the presbyterial area, which has the same cross vaults, one can admire valuable frescoes. There is also a 17th-century marble altar and several notable sacred furnishings here, including a chiseled silver cross, two Baroque wooden altarpieces, and a 17th-century statue of St. Sebastian.<\/p>\n<p>All these features make the Church of St. Nicholas of Bari one of the most fascinating churches in eastern Sardinia and an important place of worship for the local
